FORM NO. 1014 Hel 61-99 lg AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE WYNDHAM PARK DEVELOPMENT PROJECT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids on June 1, 1999 for the Wyndham Park Development prof ect, an approved 1999 expenditure, Council has determined that the bid submitted by Paul Vlack Company, Inc. in the amount of $248,161.00 is the lowest and best bid for this park development project. NOW, THE EFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, elected members concurring: Section 1. That the bid submitted by Paul Vlack Company, Inc. in the amount of $248,161.00 for the Wyndham Park Development project is hereby accepted. Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Paul Vlack Company, Inc. for this project as specified within the bidder's bid proposal and the City's bid documents on file in the Division of Grounds and Facilities. Section 3. That this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety or welfare, and for the further reason that the time frames for completion of the project require emergency action. Date: June Ol, 1999 Initiated by: Fred Hahn, Director of Grounds & Facilities On Tuesday, June O1, 1999 bids were opened on Wyndham Park development, an approved 1.999 expenditure. The publicly announced bid was estimated at $248,000.00. Three bids were received. 1). Paul Vlack Company, Inc. $248,161.00 2). R & R International Group, Inc. $282,877.00 3). The Nadalin Company, Inc. $256,600.00 This project consists of a sand volleyball court; playground; shelter house; landscaping; bikepath; basketball court; and associated site improvements. Staff is recommending acceptance of Paul Vlack Company Inc.'s base bid of $248,161.00.. The City of Dublin has worked with Paul Vlack Company Inc. in the past and has found their work to be most satisfactory.
