Form No. 30043 60-99 ------19------- Ordinance No._____________________..__ Passed___ AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE TRINITY PARK DEVELOPMENT PROJECT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids on June 1, 1999 for the Trinity Park Park Development project, an approved 1999 expenditure, Council has determined that the bid submitted by The Nadalin Company, Inc. in the amount of $173,000.00 is the lowest and best bid for this park development project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, ~ elected members concurring: Section 1. That the bid submitted by The Nadalin Company, Inc. in the amount of $173,000.00 for the Trinity Park Development project is hereby accepted. Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with The Nadalin Company, Inc. for this project as specified within the bidder's bid proposal and the City's bid documents on file in the Division of Grounds and Facilities. Section 3. That this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety or welfare, and for the further reason that the time frames for completion of the project require emergency action. Therefore, the ordinance shall be effective upon passage in accordance with Section 4.05 of the Revised Charter. On Tuesday June O1, 1999, bids were opened on Trinity Park development, an approved 1999 expenditure. The publicly announced bid was estimated at $182,000.00. Three bids were received. 1). The Nadalin Company, Inc. $173,000.00 2). Paul Vlack Company, Inc. $212,800.00 3). R & R International Group, Inc. $197,877.00 r.. This project consists of construction of a basketball court; playground; shelter house; landscaping; bikepath and associated site improvements. Staff is recommending acceptance of The Nadalin Company, Inc.'s base bid of $173,000.00. The City of Dublin has worked with The Nadalin Company, Inc. in the past and has found their work to be most satisfactory.
