An Ordinance Amending The Annual Appropriations Ordinance For The
Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 1999 For The Purpose Of Acquiring
Rights-Of--Way For The Rings Road Improvements Project
w~ WHEREAS, Section 5705.40 of the Ohio Revised Code allows for supplemental
appropriations to be made to an annual appropriations ordinance provided
sufficient resources are available; and
WHEREAS, Resolutions of Intent to Appropriation a Fee Simple Interest for the
rights-of--way needed for the Rings Road improvements project were passed in
January 1999; and
WHEREAS, agreement has been reached on the value for three of the properties
involving total takes; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the annual appropriations ordinance to
provide funding for the acquisition ofrights-of--way along Rings Road. !
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of
Dublin, State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the Capital
Improvements Tax Fund the amount of $675,000 to account 401-0314-780-2550
for the purpose of acquiring necessary rights-of--way for the Rings Road
improvements project.
Section 2. The public hearing be waived to provide immediate funding for the i
rights-of--way to be acquired and the construction initiated as soon as possible.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force in accordance with
Section 4.04(a) of the Dublin City Charter.

Ordinance No. 48-99 appropriates the funding needed to acquire rights-of--way for the Rings Road
improvements project. This appropriation is based on agreements reached with three of the five
properties involving total takes. Appraisals of the properties were completed and used as a basis
for the settlement agreements. The Resolutions of Intent for these properties were passed at the
January 19, 1999 City Council meeting.
We are asking the public hearing be waived in order for the closing to be scheduled in accordance
with the settlement agreements.
