An Ordinance Authorizing The Purchase Of Two Parcels Of Land On
Riverview Street For Recreation Purposes And The Preservation Of The
Scioto River Corridor And Declaring An Emergency
~ WHEREAS, a goal of the City Council is to continue to acquire park land for
recreation and open space purposes and to preserve the Scioto River corridor; and

WHEREAS, two parcels of land on Riverview Street are available for purchase;
and
WHEREAS, the Administration has worked with the property owners in
preparing Real Estate Purchase Agreements; and
WHEREAS, sufficient resources for acquisition of these properties are available
and have been appropriated in the Capitol Improvements Tax Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of
Dublin, State of Ohio, of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the Real Estate
Purchase Agreements and any necessary closing documents related to the
acquisition of the two parcels of land.
Section 2. This Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure for the
purpose of executing and closing on the purchase in accordance with the Real
Estate Purchase Agreement; therefore, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force immediately upon its passage.
