Form No. 30043 74-99 Passed Ordinance No-------- ------------- --------19-------- AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 4.584 ACRE PARCEL AND A 1.371 ACRE PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED AT 7125 RIVERSIDE DRIVE, APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, a goal of City Council is to continue to acquire parkland for recreation and open space purposes and to preserve the Scioto River corridor; and WHEREAS, the City, has recognized the value of cultural arts to the community through its continued support of the Dublin Arts Council; and WHEREAS, the parcels located at 7125 Riverside Drive are available for purchase; and WHEREAS, the Administration has worked with the property owners to prepare a Real Estate Purchase Agreement; and WHEREAS, it is the City's intent to subsequently enter into along-term lease agreement with the Dublin Arts Council for use of the facility which will provide them with the opportunity to expand cultural arts programming; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the annual appropriations measure to provide the funding authorization to execute the Real Estate Purchase Agreement and pay related acquisition costs. NOW, TII~REFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, (, of the elected members concurring that: Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a Real Estate Purchase Agreement and any necessary closing documents related to the acquisition of the two parcels of land located at 7125 Riverside Drive. Section 2. There be advanced from the General Fund the amount of $1,360,000 to the Hotel/Motel Tax Fund for the purpose of acquiring the parcels located at 7125 Riverside Drive. This advance is to be reimbursed to the General Fund from the proceeds of a future debt issue. Section 3. There be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the Hotel/Motel Tax Fund the amount of $1,360,000 to account 217-0211-780-2510 for the purpose of acquiring 7125 Riverside Drive. Section 4. This Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety or welfare and for the further reason of executing and closing on the purchase in accordance with the Real Estate Purchase Agreement; therefore, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage.
