AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE THE
COFFMAN PARK ENTRY FEATURE PROJECT, AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids on September 14, 1999 for the Coffinan
Park Entry Feature project, an approved 1999 CIP proj ect, Council has determined that the
bid submitted by Paul Vlack Co., Inc. in the amount of $30,955.00 is the lowest and best bid
for this project.
NOW, THE FORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of
Ohio, of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the bid submittedby Paul Vlack Co., Inc. in the amount of $30,955.00 for
the Coffinan Park Entry Feature project is hereby accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Paul
Vlack Co., Inc. for this project as specified within the bidder's bid proposal and the City's
bid documents on file in the Division of Grounds and Facilities.
Section 3. That this ordinance is an emergency measure necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health, safety or welfare, and shall therefore take effect
upon passage.

On Tuesday, September 14, 1999 bid were opened for the Coffinan Park Entry Feature project, an
approved 1999 expenditure. The estimated cost of this project was $35,000.
Two bids were received for the publicly announced construction project.
Base Bid
l.) Paul Vlack Co., Inc. $30,955.00
2.) Greenscapes Landscape Co $43,013.00
The project consists of a stone sign wall, lighting and landscaping. It is located along the Post Rd.
entrance to the park in front of the Community Recreation Center.
Staff is recommending acceptance of Paul Vlack Co., Inc. Bid. The City of Dublin has worked with
Paul Vlack Co., Inc., in the past and has found their work to be satisfactory.
