AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE THE
DUBLIN MUNICIPAL POOL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, APPROPRIATING
FUNDS THEREFOR, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, after advertising and receiving bids on September 14, 1999 for the Dublin
Municipal Pool Improvements project, Council has determined that the bid submitted by
Splashtacular, Inc. in the amount of $92,545.00 is the lowest and best bid for this project.
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the annual appropriations Ordinance to provide the
necessary funds for the project.
NOW, THF,~FORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of
Ohio, ~G~ of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the bid submitted by Splashtacular, Inc. in the amount of $92,545.00 for the
Dublin Municipal Pool Improvements project is hereby accepted.
Section 2. That there be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the Swimming
Pool Fund (215-06-40-740-2520) the amount of $50,000.00.
Section 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with
Splashtacular, Inc. for this project as specified within the bidder's bid proposal and the
City's bid documents on file in the Division of Grounds and Facilities.
Section 4. That this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety or welfare, and therefore shall be
effective upon passage.

On Tuesday, September 14, 1999 bid were opened for the Dublin Municipal Pool Improvements
project. The estimated cost of this project was $90,000.
Four bids were received for the publicly announced construction project.
Base Bid
1.) WhiteWater $104,810.00
2.) Anderson Recreation Design Inc. $98,891.00
3.) Paul Vlack Co., Inc. $103,000.00
4.) Splashtacular Inc. $92,545.00
The project consists of the installation of a 130 LF waterslide at the Dublin Municipal Pool.
Staff is recommending acceptance of Splashtacular Inc.. Staff verified references and found their
work to be satisfactory.
