AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A
0.685 ACRE TRACT OF LAND, FROM ROBERT D. AND
ANNA M. LONG, LOCATED AT 35 DARBY STREET, CITY
OF DUBLIN, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO
r- AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
...... WHEREAS, a goal of the Dublin City Council is to provide adequate customer parking for
the merchants in Old Dublin; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to enter into an agreement to purchase a 0.685 acre tract of
land for the construction of a parking lot along Darby Street for $220,000.00. and
WHEREAS, the aforementioned objectives will require the City of Dublin to obtain a fee
simple interest in the 0.685 acre premises more fully described in the attached Exhibit "A",
located in the City of Dublin, Franklin County, Ohio.
NOW ~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council, of the City of Dublin, state of
Ohio, of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an Agreement to Purchase
and any necessary closing documents related to the acquisition of the 0.685 acre tract of land
and paying any related costs.
Section 2. There shall be appropriated from Capital Improvements Tax Fund Two
Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($220,000.00) to account 401-0314-780-2510 for the
",... purchase of acquiring the 0.685 acre tract of land and paying any related acquisition costs.
...... Section 3. This Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health, safety or welfare, and for the further reason of
executing and closing on the purchase in accordance with the Agreement of Intent to
Purchase; therefore, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its
passage.
