AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND
BEST BID FOR COMMUNICATIONS CENTER
[ CONSOLE FURNITURE FOR THE DIVISION OF
POLICE, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE
PROCUREMENT OF SAID FURNITURE, AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, after conducting formal advertising and competitive bidding procedures
for the procurement of Communications Center console furniture; and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the bid submitted by Watson Furniture
Systems for said furniture, based upon the price(s) specified in the attached bid
tabulation and the bidder's proposal on file within the Division of Human
Resources/Procurement, is the lowest and best bid.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council ofthe City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, ---&- of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the bid submitted by Watson Furniture Systems for the above
referenced furniture, as on file with the Division of Human Resources/Procurement, is
hereby accepted in an amount not to exceed $36,028.00,
[ Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with
Watson Furniture Systems for the procurement of said furniture.
Section 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure
necessary for immediate preservation of the public safety and welfare in that there is a
90 day construction timeframe and the furniture must be in place prior to the Police
Division's conversion to an "800 MHz Trunking" communications system in
November 1999. Therefore, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon passage.
