BOULEVARD WATERLINE, PHASE 2, 1994 II WHEREAS, bids have been received for the Rings Road, Dublin Road and Tuttle '- Crossing Waterline, Phase 2, 1994; and WHEREAS, the lowest/best bid is from George J. Igel and Company, Inc. in the amount of $1,043,457.00. I WHEREAS, the Rings Road 2.0 MG Elevated Water Tank and Booster Station I is under construction; and WHEREAS, lack of adequate water availability will create a hazard to the public in the event of a fire emergency: NOW, THEREFORE, BG IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, tJ elected members concurring: Section 1. That the bid of $1,043,457.00 from George J. Igel Company, Inc. be, and hereby is, accepted. Section 2. That there be appropriated from the unappropriated balance in the Rings Road, Dublin Road and Tuttle Crossing Boulevard ,.. Construction Fund the sum of $1,150.000.00 to account 44-03- I 14-2561 for waterline construction, thereby establishing an ...... appropriation for this project. Section 3. That the City Manager and Finance Director, be, and hereby are, authorized to enter into a contract with said firm for said waterline. I Section 4. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared to be an I emergency measure due to water pressure problems in portions of the City during periods of peak demand creating a threat to public health, safety and welfare; and that the lack of adequate water pressure creates a hazard to the public in the event of a fire and for the further reason that this project should be initiated as soon as possible and therefore this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage. Kindra, City Engineer SUBJECT: Rings Road, Dublin Road and Tuttle Crossing Boulevard Waterline DATE: March 11, 1994 On Friday, March 11 1994, bids were received and publicly opened and read for the subject project. six bids were received from ODOT qualified contractors. The bidders are listed on the attached Bid Opening Result form. Also attached is a copy of the bid tabulation for your information. Our consultant has reviewed all bids and has recommended that we award the contract to the lowest bidder George J. Igel and Company, Inc. of Columbus, Ohio.
