.-' MEMORANDUM
TO: City Council
FROM: Timothy C. Hansley
DATE: June 2, 1993
SUBJECT: Conceptual Landscape Plan - 1-270/US 33/SR 161 Interchange
The City is requesting $7,500.00 for the development of a conceptual landscape plan for this
Interchange. The conceptual plan will be submitted to the Ohio Department of Transportation
(ODOT) along with an application and request for Transportation Enhancement funds. The City
will be requesting $480,000.00 in grant money for a total of $600,000.00 for this project.
Staff had submitted a bed tax application in March 1993 for $120,000 for landscaping at the
Interchange. This request was turned down by the Finance Committee with the recommendation
that the funds come from the City budget. At this time, a portion of that amount is being
requested for design fees only.
The City received five proposals for this project. The preliminary selection of a consultant has
been made by the City of Dublin with the input of the Dublin Tree and Landscape Advisory
Commission.
