Hansley DATE: May 13, 1993 SUBJECT: Ordinance 33-93 - Regulation of percentage of building and parking coverage permitted per lot Most of Dublin's development has occurred within the context of planned districts (mostly PUD) with review by the Planning and Zoning Commission. The positive character of the Dublin community has been, in part, established by the use of landscaping, berms, setbacks and generally" green" areas along the roadways and surrounding developed sites. This character has evolved over time largely as a result of the public meeting process and the commitment to quality exhibited by the local development community. The zoning code is used to set the standards, and virtually no standards have yet been adopted - which specifically address the preservation of open areas, perimeter setbacks, etc. Dublin is one of the few communities which has not set maximum levels of lot coverage or a commercial -- maximum building height. These were considered important enough to address prior to the update of the Community Plan and the redrafting of the Zoning Code. This Code amendment was recommended for approval by the Planning and Zoning Commission on May 6, 1993. " "....
