MEMORANDUM
TO: Dublin City Council Members
CITY OF DlBLIl\ FROM: Tim Hansley. City Manager /
- RE: Riverview Park Boardwalk Expansion
-... DATE: May 23, 1996
INITIATED BY: Fred Hahn, Parks Administrator
On May 21, 1996, at 10:00 a.m. bids were opened on the Riverway Park Boardwalk
Expansion, an approved CIP.
The publicly announced base bid was estimated at $26,500.00. Three bids were
received.
1). The Righter Co. $15,832.00
2). William M. Patton Co. $22,380.00
3). Scherl-Wilson Const. $29,500.00
The project consists of an asphalt and boardwalk pedestrian connection between North
and South Riverview Streets, under the 161 Bridge.
There was one bid alternate that provided site lighting. The three alternate prices are:
1). The Righter Co. $10,100.00
,...... 2). . William M. Patton Co. $ 8,410.00
3). Scherl-Wilson Const. $ 4,950.00
......
At this time staff is electing not to include the site lighting alternate because of concerns
with specifications and pricing. Staff does plan to have the site lighting completed this year,
after all issues with the site lighting have been addressed.
The Righter Co. has previously worked for the City of Dublin and their work was
acceptable.
Staff is recommending acceptance of the Righter Company's base bid of $15,832.00.
