WJ- tf~~1 _:f~{) Clerk of - Council, Dublin, Ohio ~ .. - . MEMORANDUM TO: Acting City Manager and Council Members FROM: David L. Harding, Personnel Director ~ SUBJECT : Bids for Word Processing Equipment DATE: June 16, 1988 After advertising and receiving bid proposals for Word Processing Equipment, said proposals were opened at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 13, 1988. Attached is a copy of the bid tabulation and Ordinance No. 61-88 accepting the lowest and best bid. After evaluating the bids, it has been determined that the lowest and best bid is from Toronto Business Equipment, Inc. (It should be noted that the bid prices displayed in the attached bid tabulation reflect the cost of seven (7) word processing systems.) After evaluating the bid proposals in comparison to the needs of the City, it has been determined that Bid #3 from Toronto Business Equipment best meets those needs. Therefore, I would recommend that Bid #3 from Toronto Business Equipment, Inc. in the amount of $19,813.50, plus $1,198.50 for the desired options, be accepted. This brings the grand total bid price to $21,012.00. In addition, I would respectfully request that Ordinance No. 61-88 be adopted as emergency legislation for the reason that the aforementioned bid from Toronto Business Equipment is valid for a limited period of time (until July 13, 1988. ) DLH/mc - ..-l ..-l oj( oj( tf.l Z o 0 0 H If) 0 E-l .
