AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND
BEST BID FOR DONEGAL CLIFFS PARK, PHASE
I, DEVELOPMENT, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
FOR THE PROJECT, AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, after advertising, receiving bids and opening bids on January 31,
1990 for the development of Donegal Cliffs Park, Phase I; and,
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the lowest and best bid for said
project is from the Strawser Paving Company in the amount of $299, 712 . 00 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, 7 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the bid from Stawser Paving Company in the amount of
$299,712.00 be, and hereby is, accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager be, and hereby is, authorized and
directed to execute a contract with the Stawser Paving Company for
completion of said project pursuant to the bid specifications and documents
on file in the Office of the Parks and Recreation Director.
Section 3. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared to be
an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public health,
safety, and welfare, and therefore, this Ordinance shall take effect and
be in force immediately upon its passage.

DONEGAL CLIFFS PARK
PHASE I DEVELOPMENT
The second bidding process for Donegal Cliffs Park - Phase I, has
resulted in an apparent "lowest and best" bidder - Strawser Paving Co. Four
valid Bids in total were received for the project.
In addition to the Base Bid for All Work Combined - General, seven
alternates were issued (see Bid Tabulation sheet).
I am recommending the contract be awarded to Strawser Paving in the
amount of $299,712.00 for the base bid and alternates # 1,2,5,6 and 7.
Alternate #3 - Additional Planting - this will be accomplished
in-house during the 1991 Spring planting season
for about 1/2 to 3/5 the cost submitted.
Alternate #4 - Alternate Children's Play Structure - several
approved alternate play structures were offered
contingent upon the availability of select
subdued colors.
