AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT THE
LOWEST/BEST BID FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A 16" AND
12" WATERLINE EXTENSION -
AVERY AND BRAND ROADS -
AUTHORIZING THE MANAGER AND
FINANCE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE
A CONTRACT, AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, pursuant to required advertising bids have been received for
the construction of the 16" and 12" Waterline Extension - Avery and
Brand Roads; and,
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the bid of Music Underwood Inc.
in the amount of $ 254,145.26 is the lowest/best bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 6 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the bid of Music Underwood Inc. , for the constructi )n
of said waterline in accordance with the specifications presently on
file in the office of the Village Engineer be, and hereby is, accepted.
Section 2. That the Village Manager and Finance Director be, and they
hereby are, authorized and directed to execute a contract with the said
Music Underwood Inc. , for the construction of said waterline.
Section 3. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed
to establish a fund for said waterline construction and there is hereby
appropriated from said fund to the account of E01-05-5W-2560 ,. the
sum of $254,145.26 to meet the obligations of said contract.
Section 4. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby is, declared to
be an emergency measure necessary for the publi~ peace, health and
safety and for the further reason that a Determ~nation to Proceed has
been approved by Council, and therefore this Ordinance shall take
effect and be in force immediately upon its pasisage.

DATE: July 30, 1987
It is recommended to you and to members of the Village qouncil that award of
the subject project be made to Music Underwood Inc. in the amount of
$254,145.26.
Eight bids were received ranging from $254,145.26 to $3Z5,307.13.
The engineer's estimate is $298,280.00.
