RE: Fire Hydrant Rule and Regulation
Dear lorayor Rozanski:
On June 14, 1988 we sent you a copy of the City of Columbus'
proposed fire hydrant policy. We have incorporated comments
received into the policy. Attached is the final version of the
Rule and Regulation for use of fire hydrants cn the City of
Columbus water distribution system. This rule and regulation
will go into effect Nay 1 , 1989.
The regulation is necessary to control the improper use of
fire hydrants. Damaged fire hydrants threaten the property and
safety of the citizens of Columbus. We have taken every effort
to protect hydrants without prohibiting their use and feel the
attached Rule and Regulation accomplished both objectives.
