MEMORANDUM
TO: City Council
FROM: Tim Hansley
DATE: August 29, 1990
SUBJECT: 1990 Sidewalk Program
* * *
Submitted by Patrik Bowman
On August 28, 1990, bids were opened for the 1990 Sidewalk ~rogram. This
year's program includes sidewalks along the north sid~ of Post Road from the
OCLC Drive to U.S. 33/S.R. 161, the east side of Frantz Road from U.S. 33/S.R.
161 to the existing walk (approximately 150 feet north of Corbins Mill Drive),
and the north side of Bridge Street from Shawan Falls Drive to High School
Road.
Three bids were submitted. The low bid of $71,363.06 was submitted by Gaddis
and Son, Inc. Concrete Contractors. Staff is recommending that this project
be awarded to Gaddis and Son, Inc. and that the ordinance be passed as an
emergency.
This action will help to ensure that the project is started and completed this
fall. This schedule will allow the concrete adequate airing time before salt
is applied to the roads.
