TO: Nan Prushing Acting Village Manager FROM: Robert Mayer Chief of Police SUBJECT: New Cruiser Bids DATE: June 26, 1987 We received two bids for new cruisers, one from Byers Chevrolet Co. and the other was Bob McDorman Chevrolet. After reviewing the bids, I find that Byers still does not meet the specifications set forth, ie. no gauges, no power windows, and no posi-traction. Byers bid was for three 1987 Chevrolet Caprices at a price of $13,153.00 each. Bob McDorman's also bid on three cars which meet all the specifications. These three cars are 1988 Chevrolet Caprices, and the bid price is $13,378.91 with a delivery time of 120 days. Although McDormans bid is $225.91 higher than Byers, theirs meet all specifications and are 1988 cars, so I would recommend we accept McDormans Chevrolet bid. /'~U1 Yn"t'- ( Ro bert Ma yer , Chief of Police RM/pk
