AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN
SECTIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 52-81
AND 33-88 ("COMPENSATION PLAN"),
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, certain sections of the "Compensation Plan" need to be amended
to reflect established annual salary ranges for two new job classifica-
tions; and,
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and necessary to make such amendments to the
"Compensation Plan";
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 7 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That Section 8 ("Salary Plan") of Ordinance No. 52-81 and
Section 1. of Ordinance No. 33-88 be amended to reflect established
annual salary ranges for the following job classifications:
Classification Annual Salary Range
Probation Officer/Court Bailiff $19,800 - $24,900
Planner $23,600 - $32,900
Section 2. That this Ordinance be, and hereby is, declared to be an
emergency measure for the reason that positions within the above
referenced classifications need to be filled as soon as possible and,
therefore, specific salary ranges for these classifications need to
be formally reflected in the salary structure contained within the
"Compensation Plan". Therefore, this Ordinance shall take effect and
be in force immediately upon its passage.

SUBJECT: Amendment to the "Compensation Plan"
DATE: July 28, 1988
Attached please find Ordinance No. 81-88 amending certain sections of the
"Compensation Plan". The intent of this Ordinance is to amend Section 8.
("Salary Plan") of Ordinance No. 52-81 and Section 1. of Ordinance No. 33-88
to reflect established annual salary ranges for two new job classifications
(Probation Officer/Court Bailiff and Planner) .
A Probation Officer/Court Bailiff position was authorized by the 1988 Opera-
ting Budget, however, no specific salary range has been identified for the
Probation Officer classification within the "Compensation Plan". Therefore,
Ordinance No. 81-88 will formally establish a specific salary range for this
classification.
A Planner position was not authorized by the 1988 Operating Budget, however,
Ordinance No. 80-88 has been introduced to authorize said position. Ordinance
No. 81-88 will formally establish the specific salary range for the Planner
classification.
Please note that Ordinance No. 81-88 has been introduced as emergency legisla-
tion. I respectfully request said Ordinance be adopted as emergency legisla-
tion for the reason that positions with the aforementioned job classifications
need to be filled as soon as possible and, therefore, specific salary ranges
for these classifications need to be formally reflected in the salary structurE
contained within the "Compensation Plan".
