NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, 7 of the elected members concurring: Section 1. That the petition for the annexation of 22.266: acres (see attached legal description) to the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, is hereby accepted. Section 2. High Street Columbus, Ohio 43215 Dear Chairman: On June 1, 1988, your Commission will be considering for annexation to Dublin, a 22.266 acre tract of land. That land is located immediately west of Wilcox Road and is adjacent to the present Dublin Corporation. During your last review of this annexation request, the Board tabled the request based upon Dublin having not yet sought approval from the Ohio Department of Transportation for placing service lines within the right-of- way of 1-270. The City of Dublin has sought and gained the ability to install five sanitary sewer lines and two waterlines across the right-of-way of 1-270. We will soon again be working with them to tunnel a new waterline extension under the limited access portion of USR 33 near Avery Road. Basically, we are saying that the City of Dublin has worked cooperatively with ODOT in the past and plan to do so in the future. The procedure which is routinely followed is to apply for a right-of-way occupancy permit from ODOT during the project development. The issuance of that permit normally takes only a few weeks. The site which your Board is reviewing for annexation lies within the tributary area of our Cramer Creek sanitary sewer. Meyer, Jr., the Agent for the petitioners; and WHEREAS, a public hearing will be required before the Franklin County Commissioners; and WHEREAS, Section 709.031 of the Ohio Revised Code requires that, prior to . said hearing, the Municipal Authority shall adopt a statement indicating I what services, if any, the Municipal Corporation will provide to the territory proposed for annexation: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, 7 of the elected members concurring that: Section 1. The City of Dublin will provide the following municipal services for the 22.266: acres in Washington Township-Franklin County upon the annexation of said area to the City of Dublin, Ohio: POLICE. The City provides Police service on a full twenty-four hour basis and communications are contracted from Perry Township. The City also has mutual aid agreements with other municipalities. FIRE. Fire protection is currently provided by well-staffed departments in Washington and Perry Townships in Franklin County and Concord Township in Delaware County~ They too have mutual aid agreements with other munic ipa 11 ties. SANITATION. Residential refuse collection services are contracted by the City and would be available., STREET MAINTENANCE. The City has a Street Maintenance Department which provides excellent service in the area of street and road maintenance. Section 2. The City has SEWER and WATER service area contracts with the City of Columbus and the subject property is within said service areas, and conditioned on the ability of the City of Columbus to provide WATER, and to provide sufficient SEWERAGE disposal capacity, the City will have the ability to service the area.
