Home My WebLink About003-86 Ordinance I I I I i , ORDINANCE NO. 03-86 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1191.02(C) (ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW) OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Section 1191.02 of the Code currently mandates that membership of the Architectural Review Board consist of I I residents with specific qualifications, and WHEREAS, a group of candidates for membership on the Architectural Review Board may not possess some of those I I specific qualifications, and WHEREAS, strict compliance with said requirements may cause positions on the Architectural Review Board to remain vacant, and WHEREAS, the continued operation of the Architectural I Review Board is vital to the preservation of the Village's I heritage and the health, safety and welfare of its residents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin, State of Ohio, 7 members concurring that: Section 1. Existing Section 1191.02(C) of the Codified Ordinances which reads as follows: (c) All present members of the Architectural Review Board shall continue in such capacity until their respective terms expire or they resign. All vacancies created by the expiration of the present members' terms or resignations shall be filled in accordance with the requirements of subsection (a) hereof. is hereby amended to include the following: Except that in the event Council is unable to fill vacancies in accordance with the six categories contained within subsection ( a) hereof, Council may fill said vacancies as it may deem appropriate. Section 2. This Ordinance is declared to be an emergency necessary i for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare for the reason that Council has determined that such -1- II I I Ordinance is necessary for the continued operation of the Architectural Review Board and that this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon passage. , day of January , 1986.
