AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT THE LOWEST/BEST
BID FOR 1985 STREET IMPROVEMENTS, AUTHOR-
IZING AND DIRECTING THE MANAGER AND
FINANCE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, pursuant to required advertising, bids have been received
for the 1985 Street Improvements and:
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the bid of Northwood Stone
& Asphalt, Inc. for said improvements in the amount of$1/4,bb)./U
is the lowest/best bid:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 6 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the bid of Northwood Stone & Asphalt, Inc.
for said improvements in accordance with specifications on file in the
Office of the Manager be, and hereby is, accepted.
Section 2. That the Village Manager and Finance Director be and they
hereby are authorized and directed to execute a contract with the said
Northwood STone & Asphalt, Inc. for 1985 Street Improvements.
Section 3. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure for
the public peace, health and safety and for the further reason that said
improvements are currently needed and therefore this Ordinance shall take
effect and be in force immediately upon its passage.

MEMORANDUM
TO: Council Members

SUBJECT: "1985" Street Improvement Bids
DATE: June 11, 1985
On June 11, 1985 at 11:00 A.M. bids were opened on the above referenced project.
The following bids were received:
1. Northwood Stone & Asphalt, Inc. $174,665.70
2. Decker Construction $184,229.00
3. S. E. Johnson Company $189,019.50
4. Strawser Paving Company, Inc. $198,654.40
The engineer's estimate was $212,141.00. All bids were below the engineer's
estimate.
Therefore, I recommend the contract be awarded to Northwood Stone & Asphalt, Inc.
in the amount of $174,665.70, and that the Ordinance be passed as an emergency
measure.
