RE: BOCA Fire Code
DATE: April 4, 1985
Attached please find a copy of a memo from the Fire Appeals
Board relating to the text of Ordinance No: 19-85 proposed
for adoption by Council.
In a conversation with Washington Township Fire Chief Gene
Bostic, he stated that there were only minor changes in the
1984 BOCA Code and suggested that said 1984 Code be adopted
in total.
Should you have any questions, I would appreciate it if you
would contact Chief Bostic at 889-8205.
Respectfully submitted,
A~~~k~

Dear Sherm:
There was discussion of the BOCA F:'j, r e Code at the Fire
-
Appeals Board Meeting on April 2 , 1985. It is the recommenda-
tion of this Board that the Village amend Ordinance No: 07-82
to change the date of the BOCA Fire Code from the 1981 edition
to the 1984 edition. The remainder of the Ordinance should be
the same.
The Board feels that this will bring the Ordinance to a
current status at this time. If there are any questions, please
contact me on this matter.
Thank you for your attention to the Board and its discussions
and comments.

MEETING
FIRE APPEALS BOARD
4/2/85
Present: Waldo Walker, Ralph Burns, Gene Bostic, Jack Weiler
Tim Frederich
The meeting was called to order at 11:00 A.M. There was
no new business; No old business. There have been no appeals
to the Board over the past year.
There was discussion on whether or not the Village has
ever approved the new BOCA Fire Code. The answer seems to be
-
that they have not done so. The Chairman will write a letter
to the Village Manager and Council asking them to do so.
There was also discussion on procedure of the Fire Appeals
Board. It was determined that we will follow the same procedure
that was established in the Minutes of the meeting of March 22,
1982. All present were in favor.
There being no further business before the Board, Mr. Fred-
erich adjourned the meeting at approximately 11: 50 A.M. The
next scheduled meeting will be in MHZa/
