AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT THE LOWEST/BEST BID
FOR WATERLINE CONSTRUCTION ON RINGS ROAD,
AUTHORIZING THE MANAGER AND FINANCE DIRECTOR
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT: AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, pursuant to required advertising, bids have been
received for said Waterline construction, and;
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the bid of S. E.
Johnson Company in the amount of $ 27,517.60 is the
lowest/best bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of
Dublin, State of Ohio, 6 of the elected members concurring:
SECTION 1. That the bid of S. E. Johnson Company for the
construction of a Waterline on Rings Road in acordance with the
specifications presently on file in the office of the Manager be,
and hereby is, accepted.
SECTION 2. That the Village Manager and Finance Director be, and
they hereby are, authorized and directed to execute a contract
with S. E. Johnson Company for the con-
struction of said Waterline.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance be, and the same hereby is,
declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the
preservation of the public peace, health and safety and for the
further reason that said Waterline is currently needed and
therefore this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon its passage.

MEMORANDUM
TO: Members of Council

SUBJECT: Twelve Inch Rings Road Waterline
DATE: September 26, 1984
On September 26, 1984 at 11:00 A.M. bids were opened on the above
referenced project.
There were six (6) bidders and they are as follows, along with the total
amount of the bid.
1. S. E. Johnson Company $27,517.60
2. Mid-Ohio Utilities, Inc. 29,037.20
3. Nickolas M. Savko & Sons, Inc. 29,400.00
4. Jack Gonie & Sons, Corp. 29,649.00
5. Prater Construction Corp. 31,771.00
6. Woodward Excavating Company, Inc. 34,025.48
The engineer's estimate of cost on the project was $30,400.00.
The low bid was 9.5% under the engineer's estimate.
I have reviewed all of the bids and recommend that the award be made to
the low bidder, S. E. Johnson Company for the amount of $27,517.60.
