AN ORDINANCE REQUESTING APPROVAL
FOR THE CITY OF DUBLIN TO INCREASE
PLUMBING PERMIT FEES
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin entered into a Health Services Contract
with the Franklin County Board of Health on August 17, 1987 via
Ordinance No. 100-87; and
WHEREAS, Section 133.17 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Dublin
was amended via Ordinance No. 109-87 on September 8, 1987 regarding
plumbing permit fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 6 of the elected members concurring:
Section 1. That the Plumber Registration Board of the Franklin County
District Board of Health recently completed a study involving plumbing
permit and inspection fees.
Section 2. That this advisory group recommended to the Board of Health
to increase plumbing permit fees to $25.00 for the first fixture and
$5.00 for each additional fixture. They further recommended establishing
a reinspect ion fee of $25.00 for any call-back necessitated by a
disapproved inspection.
Section 3. That the Plumbing Registration Board offered the following
reasons for their recommendations:
1. Results of a cost analysis of the Plumbing Division.
2. The present permit fees are the lowest existing fees in the
surrounding area.
3. The work load has increased 180% since 1984, requiring
additional personnel.
Section 4. That the Board of Health at their regular monthly meeting
held December 8, 1987, adopted the increase of fees as recommended by
the Plumber Registration Board to be effective April 1, 1988.
Section 5. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after the earliest period allowed by law; the effective date to be
April 1 , 1988.

Dear Mr. Hansley:

Therefore, we ask the legislative authority take the proper action
to raise your plumbing permit fees to correspond with the Board of
Health fee structure as is stated in Section 7 of the Health Services
Contract.
