Dublin. Ohio 4:3017
April 19, 1983
The Honorable Franklin County Commissioners
410 South High Street
Columbus, Ohio 43215
GenU emen :
In regard to a proposed annexation of 75.13 acres of the Village of Dublin, Ohio,
signed by Mr. Gordon F. Scherer, et al., and scheduled for hearing on May 18,
1983 at 10:00 A.M., I offer the following comments in regard to services:
SEWER SERVICE
There is sewer service in close proximity to the subject area and I am sure that
a mutual understanding can be accomplished for extension into the area, if approved
for annexation.
WATER SERVICE
Water Service has been extended across 1-270 and will, in the Capital Improvement
Plan, be extended to this general area as funding permits and the construction is
justi fied.
FIRE PROTECTIDN
With the new Washington Township Firehouse (soon to be completed) being in the area
which is the subject of this annexation, the area will certainly be serviced by a
competent Department which has Mutual Aid agreements with many of the nearby sub-
urban communities.
POLICE PROTECTION
The Village currently has 24 hour coverage with 16 full-time officers and eight (8)
Reserve officers. This department also has Mutual Aid Agreements with many other
departments.
STREET & ROAD MAINTENANCE
The Village has invested considerable amounts of money for equipment to provide good
service in this category and, it is our intention to maintain it at a level to handle
this and, possible future annexations.
It is felt that we can, and will, provide the necessary services to the area which
is the subject of this annexation.
Respectfully submitted,
~~{'~
