AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING PETITION FOR ANNEXATION OF
1 TERRITORY TO THE VI~OF DUBLIN, OHIO, BEGINNING
ADJACENT TO THE EXISTING EASTERLY VILLAGE BOUNDARY
ON RINGS ROAD, THENCE EASTERLY APPROXIMATELY 1150
FEET TO DUBLIN ROAD, THENCE SOUTHERLY ON THE WEST
SIDE OF DUBLIN ROAD APPROXIMATELY 2690 FEET TO THE
NORTH EDGE OF TUTTLE ROAD, THENCE WESTERLY ALONG
TUTTLE ROAD APPROXIMATELY 2900 FEET, THENCE NORTH-
ERLY APPROXIMATELY 1880 FEET TO THE SOUTH BOUNDARY OF
THE SHEREX CHEMICAL COMPANY TRACT CONSISTING OF A
TOTAL OF 138.20 ACRES.
WHEREAS, said annexation has been approved by the Franklin County Commis-
sioners and Council is of the opinion that said territory should be
annexed:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin,
State of Ohio, '7 of the elected members concurring:
SECTION 1. That the petition of Mary E. Scatterday, et a1., for the
annexation to the Village of Dublin, of the following described terri-
tory in the County of Franklin and adjacent to the Village of Dublin
to wit: (See attachment "A" the legal description) which is hereby
made an official part of this Ordinance. The accurate map of said
territory together with its petition and a certified transcript of the
proceedings of the County Commissioners relating thereto and on file
in the office of the Village Manager be, and the same hereby is,
accepted.
SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after the earliest period allowed by law.

the territory sought to be annexed; that the required legal
notice has been published; that the territory sought to be

of the Ohio Revised Code 709.033; therefore,

certain Annexation Petition wherein it is prayed that 138.20
acres, more or less, in Washington Township be annexed to
the Village of Dublin, Ohio, which petition is set for hearing
before the Board of County Commissioners of Franklin County,
Ohio, on Wednesday, February 6, 1980, at 10:00 A.M.; that,
at the time of the filing of said Petition, there were 2
II owners of real estate in the area so prayed to be annexed,
of which 2 owners had signed and affixed their signatures
to said petition; that affiant was the c~rculator of said
petition and that, to the best of affiant's knowledge, each

Enclosed is a copy of the resolution adopted on December 5,
1979, by the Board of County Commissioners setting the time
I and place of public hearing for the annexation petition Which
you, as agent, filed with this office on December 3, 1979.
Under the provisions of Section 709.03 of the Ohio Revised
Code, you, as agent are responsible for the following:
(1) Notification of the date of filing of your petition
with the Board of County Commissioners to be delivered
to the Clerk of the municipality to Which annexation
is proposed and the clerk of each township which
is included in the annexation. (A map, description
and a copy of the petition should be presented to
each clerk).
(2) Publication of the substance of the petition once
a week for four consecutive weeks in a newspaper
of general circulation in the County. (The enclosed
resolution will satisfy the statutory requirements
and should be used for the published notice).
(3) Service upon the municipal and township clerk of
a copy of the published notice.
(4) Preparation of an affidavit stating the name of
the agent, the number of o~ers of real estate at
I the time of the filing of tition and the number
of owners signing the petition.
A letter from the municipality to which an annexation is proposed
stating the availibility of services such as water, sewerage,
and police and fire protection, is also required.

BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Franklin
County, Ohio, ,that the petitum for annexation of certain adjacent
territory to the Village ot Dublin, Ohio, by Mary E. Scatterday, et al.,
and appointing Harrison W. Smith, Jr., as agent for the said territory
being described as follows:
Situated in the Township of Washington, County of Franklin, State
of Ohio, being part of Virginia Military Survey No. 2419 and being
portions of the following two (2) tracts of land:
1) an originally 114.91 acre tract conveyed to Mary E. Scatterday
by deed of record' inDeed Book 3632, Page 486, Recorder's
Office, Franklin County, Ohio, and
2) a 44.70 acre tract conveyed to Leoni das C. Scatterday by deed
of record in Deed Book 2377, Page 627, Recorder's Office,
Franklin County, Ohio,
and being more particularly described as follows;
I Beginning at an angle point in the existing corporation line of the
Village of Dublin, Ohio, as the same was established by Dublin Ordinance
No. 33-74, of record in Miscellaneous Record Volume No. 163, Page 281,
Recorder's Office, Franklin County, Ohio, said angle point also being
in a west line of said 114.91 acre tract and in the east line of a 3.375
acre tract of land conveyed to 4789 Rings Co. by deed of record in Deed

the south right-of-way line of Rings Road (60 feet in width);
thence easterly along the south right-of-way line of Rings Road,

County Commissioners Hearing Room 3rd floor, at the Franklin County
Administration Building at 10:00 A.M., on February 6, 1980; and

I The UDders'" petitioners in the p ises, and being a
MAJORITY OF OWNERS OF REAL ESTATE, in the territory hereinafter
described, consisting of 138.20+ acres, more or less, in
the Township of Washington, which area is contiguous
and ajacent to the Village of Dublin, do hereby pra~ that
said terrirory b~ annexed to the Village of Dublin, according
to the stautes of the State of Ohio.
A full and accurate description and a plat of said territory
so prayed to be anpexed are attached hereto and made part hereof.
In support of said Petition, your petitioners state that there
are within the terrirory so prayed to be annexed 2 OWNERS OF
REAL ESTATE.
