AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING PETITION FOR AN-
NEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE VILLAGE OF
DUBLIN, OHIO. A 2.996 ACRE TRACT ON
III DUBLIN RDAD ACROSS FROM GRANDVIEW DRIVE
WHEREAS, said annexation has been approved by the Franklin County Com-
missioners and, Council is of the opinion that said territory should be
annexed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Dublin,
State of Ohio, 10 of the elected members concurring:
SECTION 1. That the petition of Roger A. Vaughan, et al., for the annexa-
tion to the Village 0 f Dublin, 0 f the following described terri tory, See
Attachment "A" - the legal description which is hereby made an official part
of this Ordinance and, with an accurate map, together with the petition and
a certified transcript of the proceedings of the County Commissioners being
on file in the office of the Village Manager, this petition is hereby ac-
cepted.
SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
III after the earliest period allowed by law.

Roger A. Vaughan, et al., filed July 13, 1982, and having
in open hearing heard all of the persons desiring to be heard

required by law; that the territory sought to be annexed is
adjacent and contiguous to the said Village of Dublin, Ohio;
that the petition contains a full and complete descriotion
of said territory sought to be annexed; that the map for said
territory is accurate; that the petition for said territory
is signed by a majority of the owners of real estate within

the Agent for the Petitioners in that certain Annexation Petition wherein
it is prayed that 2.996 acres, more or less, in Washington Township be
annexed to the Village of Dublin, Ohio, which petition is set for hearing
before the Board of County Commissioners of Franklin County, Ohio, on
Wednesday, September 15, 1982 at 10:00 A.M.; that, at the time of the fil ing

Dear Mr. Vaughan:
Enclosed is a copy of the resolution adopted on July 13, 1982,
I by the Board of County Cpmmissioners setting the ti~e and ~lace
of public hearing for the annexation petition Which you, as
agent, filed with this office on July 13, 1982.
Under the provisions of Section 709.03 of the Ohio Revised
Code, you, as agent are responsible for the following:
(1) Notification of the date of filing of your petition
with the Board of County Commissioners to be delivered
to the Clerk of the municipality to which annexation
is proposed and the clerk of each township which
is included in the annexation. (A map, description
~d a copy of the petition should be presented to
each clerk).
(2) Publication of the substance of the petition once
a week for four consecutive weeks in a newspaper
of general circulation in the County. (The enclosed
resolution will satisfy the statutory reouirements
and should be used for the pUbli,shed notice).
(3) Service upon the municipal and township clerk of
a copy of the published notice.
I (4) Preparation of an affidavit stating the name of
the agent, the number of owners of real estate at
the time of the filing of petition and the number
of owners signing the petition.
A letter from the municipality to which an annexation is proposed
stating the availibility of services such as water, sewerage,
and police and fire protection, is also required.

I WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 1982 AT 10:00 A.M.
Mr. Foulk offered the following resolution and moved that
the adoption of the same, which was duly seconded by Mr. Dorrian:
BE IT RESOLVED, By the Board of County Commissioners of
Franklin County, Ohio, that the petition for annexation of certain
adjacent territory to the Village of Dublin, Ohio, by Roger A.
Vaughan, et al., and appointing Roger A. Vaughan as agent for
the said territory being described as follows:
Situated in the State of Ohio, County of Franklin, township
of Washington, and being a part of Virginia Military Survey
#4852, and being all of a 0.90 acre tract (Auditor's Parcel #138),
and all of a 2.096 acre tract (Auditor's Parcel #699) conveyed
to Roger A. and Dorothy A. Vaughan shown of record in Deed Book
3642, Page 748, Recorder's Office, Franklin County, Ohio, and
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the centerline of Dublin Road at
the northwesterly corner of said 0.90 acre tract (Auditor's
Parcel #138), and the southwesterly corner of a 1.234 acre tract
I (Auditor's Parcel #182), and on the Village of Dublin Corporation
