ii' WHEREAS, the Governor's Executive Order of April 27, 1973 mandated the
fonnation of State Planning Regions and called for a Regional Planning and
Development Organization (RPOO) to be fonned in each such region, and
WHEREAS, an Eight-COtmty Nominating COJIIIli ttee, of local government
representatives, has been working towards the fonnation of an 'RPOO since
January, 1974 and has reconunended the report of the Refinement Committee as
the basis of fonning this new organization, and
WHEREAS, the REPORT OF1HE REFINEMENT CCM4I'I,TEEmeets the legal require-
ments of the Department of Economic and Conmnmi ty Development for the creatio
of an RPOO, and
WHEREAS, an intent to join is requested by the Eilht-COtBlty Nominating
Conmi ttee to move on~ step closer to the actual fonnation c9f an RPOO in Cen-

; ':c' tra1 Ohio Region Six, and
WHEREAS, representatiion in the proposed organization will be available
to all Counties, Cities and Villages within the eight counties of Delaware,
Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Pickaway and Union, now
therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the CotBlcil of the Village of Dublin, Ohio "
of the elected members concurring:
SECI'ION 1. That it finds the proposed structure acceptable and supports
the efforts of the Eight-CotBlty Negotiating Conmittee to fonn a Regional
Planning and Development Organization for Region Six, using this structure as
a basis.
SECI'ION 2. That the Village of Dublin reconmends that the negotiating
I cClllRittee seriously consider including citizen ~rticipation, in addition to
elected officials, in the voting structure of the Regional Planning and
Develop~Organization. " ( ,,;., of
