Honorable Joseph Dixon, Mayor Village of Dublin 129 South High Street Dublin, Ohio 43017 Dear Mayor Dixon: In accordance with Council's request of last week, we are pleased to outline the work we propose to develop, a Land Use Plan and Transportation Plan for the Village of Dublin. As in the past, we will develop these plans working with the Planning and Zoning Commission and with Council as you deem advisable. I Land Use Plan ! A general land use plan will be develaped for the village indicating areas of residential, commercial, industrial and public and semi-public use. This plan will consider existing land use, the 1967 land use plan~ existing zoning and proposals for developments affecting the village. As a part of the land use plan preparation, detailed proposals will be [I made for several "problem areas" that have been discussed recently with both the Commission and Council. Several meetings will beheld with residents of these areas to solicit their views on future development. Zoning Amendmen ts Following adoption of the land use plan as a guide by the Commission, suggestions will be made for amending the zoning ordinance. At this time, it is not known what these amendments will entail but our intent is to provide more of the districts with site plan review regulations and to perhaps reduce the total number of districts in the ordinance. Transportation Plan In order to incorporate all known projects and proposals affecting transportation, conferences will be held with representatives of the state, county and city highway departments, MORPC, and various consultants associated , CD Co,"eJtve - He.tp YOWL Coun.t1r.y - Hetp Yowuet6 lA., \ , ., ~ .., Honorable Joseph Dixon, Mayor -2- July 8, 1974 with land owners in and near the village. Following these reviews and with consideration to the land use plan, the 1967 transportation plan, and recently adopted subdivision regulations, a transpartationplan will be prepared for the village. This plan will show specific recommendations I for right-of-way widths and pavement widths for various elements of the plan. We believe the cost for the work outlined should not exceed $7,500, however, this will depend to some extent upon the number of additional neighborhood meetings required and various alternates that may require study as a result of initial meetings. This work would be billed under our existing contract on a cost plus basis as stipulated. If you have any questions about this letter, please do not hesitate to contact us. Very truly yours, VILLAGE OF DUBLIN ~.rIifh President of Council ' . I Is . J I .....
