RESOLUTION REQUESTING DIRECTOR OF HIGHWAYS TO DETERMINE AND DECLARE A REASONABLE AND SAFE PRIMA-FACIE SPEED LIMIT FOR A PORTION OF STATE ROUTE 161 WITHIN THE VILLAGE; REQUESTING THAT SAID SPEED LIMIT BE DETERMINED TO BE 45 M. P. H.; AND DIRECTING CHIEF OF POLICE TO EJRECT SIGNS GIVING NOTICE OF SA ID SPEED LIMIT I WHEREAS, Council is of the opinion that the present prima-facie speed limit of 50 m. p.g. on State Route 161 between the intersection thereof with Sawmill Road and the intersection thereof with State Route 257 and U. S. Route 33 is greater than is reasonable and safe and that 45 m. p. h. is the reasonable ana safe prima-facie speed limit at such location. NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Dublin, State of Ohio, ~ of the members elected thereto concurring: SECTION 1. That pursuant to Section 4511. 21 of the Ohio Revised Code the Director of Highways of the State of Ohio be requested to determine and declare a reasonable and safe prima-facie speed limit for State Route 161 within the Village between the intersection thereof with Sawmill Road and the intersection thereof with State Route 257 and U. S. Route 33. SECTION II. That the said Director of Highways be, and he hereb is. requested to determine that 45 m. p. h. is the reasonable and safe prima-facie speed limit tat such location. SECTION III. That upon notice of the determination and declaration of a reasonable and safe prima-facie speed limit at such location. the Chief of Police shall erect appropriate signs at such location giving notice thereof. ~ Passed this 5'^ day of /flAtWtt- , 1973.
