RESOLUTION NO. fY-'1o , VILLAGE OF DUBLIN, OHIO
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT
STATE OF OHIO VACATE AND RELEASE TO THE VILLAGE
OF DUBLIN CERTAIN LIMITED ACCESS RIGHTS

FOR INGRESS AND EGRESS TO A
PROPOSED NEW PARKWAY-TYPE

NETWORK TN THE VILLAGE
OF DUBLIN
WHEREAS, with the establishment in the Village of Dublin, Ohio,
of certain industrial complexes, namely Volkswagen and Chemical
Division of Ashland Oil and Refining, and certain anticipated
industrial complexes; and
WHEREAS, the development of said industrial complexes has and
will continue to generate the need for additional high-intensity
land uses such as commercial service facilities, multi-family housing
facilities and high-quality residential areas; and
,..... WHEREAS, to tie in the said industrial complexes, the commercial
\ service facilities, the multi-family housing area:; and the high-

quality residential areas and provide a network of roads and streets
for ingress and egress to said areas, and to provide that the
industrial complex and commerGJ.al complex traffic does not interfere
with the multi-family residential areas and the high-quality residential
areas, it is necessary to obtain the vacation and release of certain
limited access rights belonging to the Department of Highways, State
of Ohio; and
WHEREAS, the Dublin Village Council along with its Mayor, its
engineering and planning consultants, including the planning and
zoning commission, have made an intensive study of said network of
streets and roadways and recommend to the State of Ohio the vacation
tfl""\ and release of said limited access rights on U.S. Route 33 and Ohio

\. Route 161 in accordance with Exhibits A, Band C attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village
of Dublin, State of Ohio, L of the elected members concurring:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor of the Village of Dublin and the

President of Council of the Village of Dublin be and they hereby
are authorized and directed to petition the Department of High-
way s , State of Ohio for the vacation and release of certain limited

" access rights located on U. S. Route 33 and Ohio Route 161 in the

SECTION 2. That in order to carry out said authorization and
direction, the said Mayor and Village Council President are authorized
and directed to submit to the Department of Highways, State of Ohio,
Division 6, the Village's request for said vacation and release of
said limited access right of way along with a certified copy of this
Resolution and Exhibits A, B and C.
SECTION '3. That the Village Clerk be and he hereby is authorized
and directed to certify a copy of this Resolution so that the same
may be attached pursuant to Section 2. hereof.
SECTION .4. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force
