; A RESOLUTION REQUESTING MEMBERSHIP
, 11 OF THE CONCORD TOWNSHIP PORTION OF
THE VILLAGE OF DUBLIN IN THE WASH-
INGTON TOWNSHIP JOINT FIRE DISTRICT
........ AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Washington-Perry Township Fire Department, by its
Chairman, Mr. Lorenzo D. Sheets, on November 7, 1977 invited the
; Village of Dublin to request that the Concord Township portion
I of said Village join them in forming a Joint Fire District pur-
suant to Ohio Revised Code Section 505.371; and
WHEREAS it is the opinion of the Council of the Village of Dublin
that this action would be in the best interest of the Concord
Township residents of the Village of Dublin;
I NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby RESOLVED by the Council of the Vi 1-
lage of Dubl in, Ohio ~ of the members concurring, that:
SECTION I . Pursuant to Section 505.371 Ohio Revised Code, it IS
hereby requested that the Concord Township part of the Village of
0 Dublin be permitted to join the Washington-Perry Township Fire
District as described In Op i n i on No. 169-77 of the Prosecuting
Attorney of Franklin County; and
I SECTION 2. The said Fire District Trustees are requested to no-
! tify this Council if and when they approve such request.
SECTION 3. This Resolution IS, hereby declared to be an emer- I
gency measure necessary for the immediate protection and fur- l
,
therance of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of I
I
the Village of Dublin for the reason that there, currently, . I
IS
in~dequate fire and emergency service coverage in a portion of I
I
t he V i I I age, and, therefore, this Resolution shal I take effect
and be in force immediately upon its passage. I
