WHEREAS, the Washington-Perry Township Fire Department, by its
Chairman, Mr. Lorenzo D. Sheets, on November 7, 1977 invited the
Vi Ilage of Dubl in to request that the e~. _ . J T ~I'...... t' In
r __:J Village join them in forming a Joint Fire District pur-
suant to Ohio Revised Code Section 505.371; and
WHEREAS it is the opinion of the Council of the Village of Dublin
that this action would be in the best interests of the ~ ·

NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby RESOLVED by the Counci I of the Vil-
lage of Dublin Ohio, ~ of the members concurring, that:
aSECTION I. Pursuant to Section 505.371 Ohio Revised Code, it is
hereby requested that the ~ · ... · '.. t _ r L1~ V i II age of
Dublin be permitted to join the Washington-Perry Township Fire I
i O. ..... District as described in Opinion No. 169-77 of the Prosecuting I

SECTION 2. The said Fire District Trustees are requested to no-
tify this Council if and when they approve such request.
SECTION 3~ This Resolution i.~ hereby declared to be an emer-
gency measure necessary for the immediate protection and fur-
therance of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of
the Village of Dublin for the reason that there, currentJy, is
inadequate fire and emergency service coverage in a portion of
the Village, and, therefore, this Resolution shall take effect
and be in force immediately upon its passage.
