A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING
METHODS AND REQUIRBvlENTS
FOR AGREEMENTS REGARDING
A WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTB.VI

l~IEREAS, the Village of Dublin is developing a water distributivn
system and;
\~lffiREAS, certain 'portions of the system will be developed and constructe
by developers or others and;
l~, future agreements will be entered into to permit the construc-
tion of said water lines and;
"BEREAS, there is a need to set forth certain minimum requirements and;
WHEREAS, there is a need to set forth standard methods for reimbursement
under said agreements.
NOW TIIEREFORE, be it resolved by the Council of the Village of Dublin)
(0 of the elected members concurring, that;
C SECTION 1. All water main extensions in the Village shall be paid for
by the applicants or developer requesting such extension. Where a water
main extension is required by the Village to be installed larger than eight
(8) inches in nominal diameter, the Village shall pay One Hundred and Ten
Percent (110%) of the difference in the cost of the pipe) fittings and
valves between the installation of an eight (8) inch water main and the water
main installed, under the tenns of a water line agreement, as funds are
made available.

SECTION 2. The Village Engineer shall determine from the records, or
other sources) the cost of the pipe, fittings and valves and this determinati n
shall be final.
SECTION 3. The Village Engineer may authorize water main extensions to
0 be installed by a qualified developer.
SECTION 4. The size of all water mains shall be determined by the
Village Engineer and shall be large enough not only to serve' the areas under
immediate consideration but also to serve areas \v'hich are likely to be

SECTION S. All extensions of water mains shall include the installation
of all taps, valves and fire hydrants. The number and location of fire hydrant

SECfION 6. All water mains and appurtenances shall be owned by the Village, .

developer or applicants shall be entitled to reimbursement when such parcels

SECTION 8. To be eligible for this reimbursement the developer or applicant
must file with the Village within nine~y (90) days after the completion,of
\vater main or such further time as may be authorized by the Village in accord-
ance with the Standards and Specifications, receipts for all labor and material
used in connection with the construction of the water main, together with
final, asbuilt plans, properly referenced for future location of the work.
SECTION 9. That ttlis ordinance be declared an emergency measure necessary
for the preservation of health, safety and. welfare of the Village of Dublin,
and that it take effect and be in force irrnnediately upon its passage. \
