A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND
BEST BID FOR THE 2008 TURF RIGHT-OF-WAY
MAINTENANCE PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT FOR SAID SERVICES.

WHEREAS, formal advertising and competitive bidding procedures have been
conducted pursuant to Section 8.04 of the Dublin Charter for the 2008 Turf
Right-of-Way Maintenance Project; and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the bid submitted by Peabody
Landscape in the amount of $383,299.10 constitutes the lowest and best bid;
and
WHEREAS, this is an approved item in the 2008 Operating Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, ~ of the elected members concurring, that:
Section 1. The bid submitted by Peabody Landscape in the amount of
$383,299.10 be, and hereby is, accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for
said project as specified within the bid proposal and the City's bid documents
on file in the Division of Parks & Open Space.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force upon passage in
accordance with Section 4.04(a) of the Revised Charter.

On Tuesday, February 12, 2008 bids were opened for the 2008 Turf Right-of--Way Maintenance
Project. The funds for this project are included in the 2008 Operating Budget in the approximate
amount of $412,289.00. The estimate for this project «~as $412,289.00.
Seven (7) bids were received for this project:

2} Gilliam Lawn Care & Landscape $ 398,000.00
3) Buckeye Landscape $ 435,344.00
4) Five Seasons Landscape $ 395,000.00
5) Oakhaven Landscape $ 417,874.40
&) Top Seed Lawn Management $ 441,792.00
7) Peabody Landscape $ 383,299.10
This project consists of the mowing, fertilizing and broadleaf weed control of rights-of--way,
medians and green spaces throughout the City of Dublin. Peabody Landscape is confident in
their bid and has stated their commitment to adhering to the scope of the contract.
Peabody Landscape has done previous work for the City of Dublin, and staff has found their
work to be satisfactory.
Recommendation
Staff is recommending adoption of Resolution 08-08, accepting Peabody Landscape's bid of
$383,299.10.
