AN ORDINANCE TO PETITION THE COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO FOR
ANNEXATION OF APPROXIMATELY 31.049 ACRES OF LAND,
LOCATED ON HOUCHARD ROAD, TO THE CITY OF DUBLIN
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin has an interest in annexing land that is owned by the
City; and
WHEREAS, the City currently owns property on Houchard Road at Darree Fields that
is located in Washington Township and which the City desires to annex; and
WHEREAS, the land that is proposed to be annexed is adjacent and contiguous to
the City of Dublin and further described in the attached Exhibit "A" and depicted in
the attached Exhibit "B "; and
WHEREAS, because the Parks and Open Space Department is in the process of
converting all water at this park from well to City water, a water line is proposed to
cross this land; and
WHEREAS, as a result, it is imperative that the land be annexed to Dublin; and
WHEREAS, the municipal annexation procedure must be initiated by petition to the
Franklin County Board of Commissioners pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Sections
709.14 through 709.16; and
WHEREAS, the Franklin County Application for Annexation Petition is attached
hereto.
NOW, THERF,FORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, � / ' p ` of the elected members concurring:
Section 1 . Council considers it necessary to annex the subject property to the City of
Dublin.
Section 2. The Law Director's Office of the City of Dublin is hereby directed to
petition the Franklin County Commissioners for annexation of 31.049 acres of land
located in Washington Township, Franklin County, Ohio, in accordance with Ohio
Revised Code Sections 709.14 through 709.16, and to serve as the City of Dublin's
agent in this annexation proceeding.
Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to take any action necessary to
effect the annexation petition.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be effective upon the earliest date permitted by law.

RE: Ordinance 65 -11 - Annexation of 31.049 Acres of Land Located at Dance Fields
This office was contacted by Fred Hahn to pursue the annexation of 31.049 acres of City -owned
land, which is located at Dance Fields. Because the City is in the process of converting this park
from well water to City water, a water line is planned to transverse this property. As a result, it
is imperative that the property be annexed to Dublin in order to comply with the City's water
agreement with the City of Columbus. The property is located in Washington Township on
Houchard Road.
The ordinance for your consideration would authorize the Law Director's office to file the
annexation petition with the Franklin County Commissioners and to act as the City's agent.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact this office if you have any questions or wish to
further discuss this matter.

PRESENTLY IN WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, FRANKLIN COUNTY
TO THE CITY OF DUBLIN, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO
Situated in the State of Ohio, County of Franklin, Township of Washington, Virginia Military
Survey No. 14150 & 14400, and being all of a 31.049 (Parcel Number 271 - 000010), currently
owned by City of Dublin as recorded in Instrument No. 200205230128870, and being more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of said 31.049 acre tract, and the southeast corner of a 57.335
acre tract currently owned by the City of Dublin as recorded in Instrument No. 200212300334486,
and in the west line of a 42.672 acre tract of ground currently owned by the City of Dublin, in
Instrument No. 199904140093283, also being in the City of Dublin Corporation Line (Ordinance
No. 4 -98, dated 03/03/98 as recorded in Instrument No. 199803030047299, and Ordinance No.
105 -98, dated September 21, 1998, as recorded in Instrument No. 199906160153555);
thence South 06° 27' 50" East 958.98 feet, in the east line of said 31.049 acre tract and the
west line of said 42.672 acre tract and said City of Dublin Corporation line (Ordinance No. 105-
98), to a point at the southeast corner of said 31.049 acre tract and the southwest corner of said
42.672 acre tract and being in the north line of a 33.6 acre tract currently owned by Subsidiary
Development Group in Deed Book 3677, Page 668;
thence South 83 0 32' 10" West 228.36 feet, in a south line of said 31.049 acre tract and the
north line of said 33.6 acre tract, to a point being the northwest corner of said 33.6 acre tract;
thence South 06° 27' 50" East 240.52 feet, in a line common to said 31.049 acre tract and said
33.6 acre tract, to a point marking a corner common to said 31.049 acre tract and a 6.260 acre
