A RESOLUTION TO SET FORTH A STATEMENT
OF SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED TO THE AREA
~ IN A PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF 7.356+/- ACRES
FROM WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, FRANKLIN COUNTY
TO THE CITY OF DUBLIN, OHIO AS REQUIRED
BY SECTION 709.031 OF THE OHIO REVISED CODE,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, a petition for the annexation of 7.356+/- acres from
Washington Township was duly filed by Christopher T. Cline, 37
W. Bridge street, DUblin, Ohio, agent for petitioners Robert
S. Crane III and Jeffery W. & Lisa A. Edwards; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing will be required before the Franklin
County Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, Section 709.031 of the Ohio Revised Code requires
that, prior to said hearing, the Municipal Authority shall
adopt a statement indicating what services, if any, the
Municipal Corporation will provide to the territory proposed
for annexation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL~D by Council of the City of
DUblin, State of Ohio, of the elected members
concurring:
Section 1. The City of Dublin will provide the following
municipal services for the 7,356+/- acres in Washington
Township, Franklin County upon the annexation of said area to
the City of DUblin, Ohio:
Police. The City provides Police and Communications
service on a full twenty-four hour basis and also has
mutual aid agreements with other municipalities. The
annexation area lies approximately two miles southeast of
Dublin's Police Division Headquarters. Dublin operates
with a minimum of three cruisers on duty. A response
time of approximately five minutes for an emergency
situation should be expected for this area.
Fire. Fire protection is currently provided by a well-
staffed departments in Washington and Perry Townships.
They, too, have mutual aid agreements with other
municipalities. This annexation would not change fire
department jurisdictional. boundaries, and therefore
response times for fire and emergency medical services
will not be affected. The Washington Township Fire
Station is approximately two miles from the annexation
area and normal response times should be approximately
three minutes.
Sanitation. Residential refuse collection services are
contracted by the City and are currently provided at no
additional charge.
Street Maintenance. The City has a Street Maintenance
Department which provides excellent service in the area
of street and road maintenance. This department also
provides curbside leaf piCk-up at no additional charge.
Section 2 . The City has SEWER and WATER service area
contracts with the City of Columbus, and the subject property
is within said service areas, and conditioned on the ability
of the City of Columbus to provide WATER, and to provide

sufficient SEWERAGE disposal capacity, the City will have the
ability to service the area.

Section 3. That this Resolution is declared to be an
emergency measure for the preservation of the public peace,
health or welfare of the residents of this city, and therefore
this resolution shall take effect and be in force immediately
upon its passage.

petition for annexation of certain adjacent territory to the City of Dublin. Ohio, filed by Jeffrey W.
Edwards, et al" signed by Jeffrey W. Edwards, Lisa A. Edwards and Robert S. Crane. III, and appointing
Christopher T, Cline. as agent for the said territory being described as follows:

motion of Commissioner Shoemaker , seconded by Commissioner Teater .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF FRANKLIN COUNTY.
OHIO:
Section 1. That a hearing upon said petition shall ~ held in the County Commissioners' .

December 1, 1993; and
Section 2. That the Zoning Director to the Board of County Commissioners be and

Re: 7.356 acres to be annexed, Jeffrey W. Edwards, et al.
Take notice that certain petitioners seeking the annexation of certain territory located
in the Township of Washington, County of Franklin and State of Ohio to the City of
Dublin, Ohio, fIled a petition for the annexation in the office of the Board of County
Commissioners of Franklin County, Ohio on September 29, 1993 under Number 47-93.
A copy of the annexation plat and of the legal description of the territory sought to
be annexed is attached hereto.
This notice is given pursuant to Ohio Revised Code section 709.03
The petition contains a full description of the territory sought to be annexed, and
other matters required by law, and is signed by a majority of the owners of real estate in
