Roll call as follows: Charles Coffman, present; !.ewis Geese, present; Charles Hicks, present; Robert Karrer, present; Gerald Macklin, present; Bill Ulrey, present: The minutes of the May 21 meeting were read, Karrer moved approval of the minutes, Macklin seconded, all voted in favo of approval. Ordinance 33-73 hiring JoshueLVance a patrolman for a six months probationary period at a salary of $7600.00 per year was introduced by Ulrey and read by the clerk. K"rrer moved to dispense with the three time re'Jding rule, Hicl{s seconded. All voted in favor of the motion and the ordinance. Mayor Dixon then swore in Joihua Vance as patrolwAn. The village received the following bids on the tractor, back hoe, & front I 10Gder: Contractors Equinment Co International $9588.00 Franklin Tr~ctor Sales Ford $10391.00 Riebels John Deere $8999.00 White Acres M*F 40 $10400.00 M-F aJ $9700.00 King E~pment Co Case $9484.00 Ordinance 34-73 accepting the bid of King Equipment Company of $9484.00 was introduced by Geese and read by the clerk. MB.cklin moved to dispense with the three time reading rule, Coffman seconded. All voted in favor of the motion an E. the ordinance. Council discussed a need for ground rules for publ'c hearings. Sheldon and Dixon to work out a Pl'vposal. Council received a letter front the Mid Ohio Regional Planning Commission re- questing time at a future council meeting to present their current ideas and plans for the area. Mich~a2 Aleshire was named summer recreation director. Parking in front of the library is creating a traffic hazard for traffic enterinp High Street from the alley.
