HomeMy WebLinkAbout27-95 Resolution ~ ~ RECORD OF RESOLUTIONS Dayton Legal Blank Co" Form No, 30045 Resolution No, 27-95 Passed 19 _on -- -- - -- --~ A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACT AS THE CITY'S OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO FILE MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS AND ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS WITH THE OIDO PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING GRANT FUNDS THROUGH THE - STATE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMlLOCAL TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, the City has adopted the 1996-2000 five-year Capital Improvement Plan; and WHEREAS, the City has included the following three projects in the five-year Capital Improvement Plan: Coffman Road widening from Brand Road to Perimeter Drive and Perimeter Drive extension to Coffman Road Frantz Road/S.R. 1611Post Road intersection improvements Emerald Parkway between Coffman Road and Dublin Road--Phase II (4,200 ft.); and WHEREAS, the City has filed applications with the Ohio Public Works Commission to acquire grant funds through the State Capital Improvement ProgramlLocal Transportation Improvement Program; and WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City to designate a City official as its ..., - authorized representative to submit the applications and execute contracts. - ~ '';' -... m <:;;I ~ t;; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT~SOLVED, by the Council of the City of 0 ",_: -00 ;~ Dublin, State of Ohio, elected members concurring: ,..., :'5' 0 c: <::l :::I ...... :-. 9.: ,-oj -~ , Section 1. ATTEST: ~C!--~ Clerk of Council Sponsor-City Engineer i .. - MEMORANDUM TO: Terry Foegler, Director of Development From: City Engineer Date: September 13, 1995 Subject: Ohio Public Works Commission Applications for State Capital Improvement Program (SCIP)/Local Transportation Improvement Program (LTIP) Grant Funding. Three applications were submitted to the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission last Monday, September 11, 1995 for the following projects: Coffman Road widening from Brand Road to Perimeter Drive and Perimeter Drive extension to Coffman Road; Frantz Road/S.R. 161/post Road intersection improvements; and Emerald Parkway between Coffman Road and Dublin Road - Phase II (4,200 ft. ) . However, the attached resolution needs to be passed by the City Council as soon as possible. This is consent legislation and no financial participation is required a this time. The estimated total combined project cost for all three projects is $12,318,300. The construction and right- of -way cost combined total is estimated to be $11,502,300. The State Transportation Improvement Program (SCIP)/Local Transportation Improvement Program (LTIP) funding level, if granted for all projects, could be up to $7,579,348.
