REF: D.A.R.E. Resolution
DATE: June 13, 1995 =:I
We are in the process of applying to renew the Grant that we obtained for the
D.A.R.E. program last year. The purpose of the grant is to help provide ~
additional personnel for the program. With the intense growth of our City, our
schools have also grown. Additionally, we have begun the D.A.R.E. program in
all three middle schools and this year will add the new High School. By 1996, we C
will also have a new elementary school and 3 parochial schools. As you can see,
the renewal of the grant will be an asset to the program.
As part of the renewal application, we need to include a Resolution from City g
council committing to the continued growth of the D.A.R.E. program to be
consistent with the growth of the needs of the community. ..
We appreciate your continued support and commitment to the Division of Police 0
and the preventive programs we provide.
