The reguldr meeting of the Dublin Council was held at the Municipal
Building at 8 o'clock on October 16, 1972.
The l"olit.t.call found the following members present: Coffman, present;
Geese, present; Karrer, present, Macklin, present; Schontzler, present;
Ulrey, present.

Schontzler moved and seconded by Geese that the bills be paid ~s read.

Mr. Jack Allston of Burgess & Niples ,BS present and ask th.1.t the ordi-
nance on ~lanning and Building be amended to read that a consultant
prepare a plan unit development to be added to our present zoning code
at the next meeting.Moved by Macklin and seconded by Karrer that the abovE
be added to ourSEning code. Coffman, yes; Geese, yes; Karrer, yes;
Macklin, yes; Schontzler, yes; Ulrey, yes.

Ordinance # 40-72 accepting the lowest and best bid for a new dump truck~
authorizing the Administrator and 61erk-treasurer to execute a contract
and declaring an emergency was read for the first time. It was moved by
Macklin and seconded by Karrer to dispense with the three time reading
rule. The vote on the motion and ordinance were unanimous.
Ordinance #41-72 authorizing the transfer of unappropriated funds from
the General fund to the Street fund was introduced by Mr. Macklin and
read for the first time. Moved by Schontzler and seconded by Ulrey to
dispense with the three time reading rule.The vote on the motion and
ordinance was unanimous.

It was moved by Mr Karrer and seconded by Mr Ulrey that when the council
receives a final platt of a development, it shall be referred to the
~lanning and Zoning committee, the Bngineer or Consultant and the
Solicitor for recommentation. Coffman, yes; Geese, yes; Karrer,yes;
Macklin, yes; Schontz1er, yes; Ulrey, yes. The motion carried.
Administrator Sherman Sheldon gave his report.

A motion as made and passed unanimously to proclaim October 28 as 'John
Herron Day' because of his many years of public service to Dublin and to
its young people.
