Home My WebLink About17-89 ResolutionRECORD OF RESOLUTIONS National Graphics Corp., Cols., O. o grgp l }v I CS Form No. 6233 -A 17 -89 (Amended) Resolution N o._ __ _ _ _ Passed. -------- ------------- 19 -- - - - - -- A RESOLUTION AGREEING TO A CHANGE IN THE BOUNDARY LINE ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF SAWMILL ROAD BETWEEN I -270 AND SUMMIT VIEW ROAD, AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, the existing boundary is presently located within the right —of— way of improved Sawmill Road; and, WHEREAS, most of the existing right —of —way of Sawmill Road is in Perry Township or the City of Columbus; and, WHEREAS, a boundary adjustment is necessary to cause the entire right —of— way of Sawmill Road to be in one governmental entity for policing and maintenance purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, 5 of the elected members concurring: Section 1. That Dublin agrees to adjust its municipal boundaries by transferring 2 + — acres of Sawmill Road to the City of Columbus, more fully described in Exhibit "A ", which is incorporated herein by reference. Section I.A. That Dublin reserves the right to construct a bike path or Section 2. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare, the reason for such emergency being the necessity to forward the Resolution to the County Commissioners for action; and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two— thirds of the members of Council, it shall take effect immediately after passage and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law. The proposed transfer would result in the entire righ of-- ay of Sawmill Rand being 1oxated in the City of COlumous thus avoiding difficulties and confusion in traffic law enforcement and street _maintenance. The City of Dublin has reserved the right to construct a bike path or sidewalk within the right -of -way subject to the review and approval by the City of Columbus.
