The Honorable Clayton Rose, Jr then swore in the Mayor Joseph Dixon, the Clerk Sherman Sheldon, and Councilmen Charles Coffman and Lewis Geese. Roll call was held as follows: COffman,pBesent,Geese,present,Karrer,present, Macklin,present,Schontzler,present and Ulrey,present. The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. The following bills were presented for payment: Electric co Quikrete co Ohio bell Regional plan Columbia gas Natl graphics Sun oil Moodys H. Rose Irma Mor se H. Rose D. '10 withholdings 83.00 street labor 50.00 bldg insp. Mr. Ulrey moved, seconded by Mr. Coffman that the bills be paid if the Auditor approved or the Appropriation Ordinance is passed. Vote on the motion was unanimous. Resolution 01-72 dealing with naming the Council president was introduced by 1~. Schontzler. I~. Macklin moved, seconded by Mr. Coffman to name Wilbur Ulrey as President. Mr. Karrer moved, seconded by Mr. Schontzler that the nominations be closed. The resolution was read for the first time. 1~. Coffman moved, seconded by Mr. ~~cklin to dispense with the three time readi1g rule. Mr. Ulrey was then elected unanimously. Ordinance 01-72 dealing with the compensation Harold Rose was introduced by Mr. Ulrey. The Ordinanoe was read for the first time. Mr. Macklin moved, seconded by Mr. Karrer to dispense with the three time reading rule. Vote on the motion and the Ordinance was unanimous. Ordinance 02-72 dealing with the oompensation of Donald Hughes was introduced by Mr. Coffman, and the Ordinance was read for the first time. Mr. Karrer moved, seconded by Mr. Schontzler to dispense with the three time reading ru13 Vote on the motion and the Ordinance was unanimous. Ordinance 03-72 dealing with an agreement with the County Commissioners for Boarding prisoners was introduced by Mr. Karrer.
