AN RESOLUTION IN APPRECIATION OF THE DONATION OF I
A BIKE PATH EASEMENT BY JOSEPH AND WENDY HARlAN

WHEREAS, the Dublin Community Plan includes an extensive bikeway system
"',-""1 which provides connections between neighborhoods as well as access to parks,
schools, community facilities, shopping and employment centers; and
WHEREAS, City Council has funded bikepath connections in the annual operating
and capital budgets, and substantial progress has been made in recent years toward
the completion of this network; and
WHEREAS, construction of the bikepath system often requires negotiation with
property owners to secure easements for the bikepaths, and in some cases, results in
legal and land acquisition costs for the City; and
WHEREAS, Dublin residents Joe and Wendy Harian recently donated an easement
across their property at 7087 Coventry Woods Drive for purposes of construction of
a bikepath connection, saving the City substantial legal and land acquisition costs.
NOW, THERElORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Dublin,
State of Ohio, of the elected members concurring:
SECTION 1. Joseph and Wendy Harian are hereby recognized and commended for
.. this very generous donation to the City which will facilitate the completion of the
bikepath connection from the Coventry Woods subdivision, to the Killilea
. .'" subdivision, and to the Dublin Road bikepath.
SECTION 2. Their exemplary action and generosity will hopefully inspire other
citizens to support future efforts which will improve the quality of life for all
residents of the City of Dublin.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect upon passage in accordance with
Section 4.04(a) of the Revised Charter.
