A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A CITY MANAGER FOR AN INTERIM I
PERIOD AND AUTHORIZING A TEMPORARY PAY SUPPLEMENT I

WHEREAS, under the terms of a Memorandum of Agreement approved by Council on I
I
August 13,2001, the current City Manager will relinquish his duties as City Manager !
after December 13, 2001; and I
!
WHEREAS, Council has retained a consultant to assist them with the search process for I
a new City Manager, and the consultant estimates a timeframe of three to four months for I
completion of the process; and '
WHEREAS, Council has determined that appointment of a City Manager for the interim
period prior to the appointment of a new City Manager is in the best interest of the City
and will ensure continuity during this transition; and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that a temporary pay supplement should be
authorized for the City Manager during this interim period of transition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, -4- of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. Marsha Grigsby is hereby appointed City Manager for the period commencing
December 14,2001 until the effective date of appointment of a new City Manager.
Section 2. Ms. Grigsby shall have all of the powers and duties of the City Manager, as
outlined in Section 5.04 ofthe Revised Charter, during the term of this appointment.
Section 3. Ms. Grigsby, as City Manager for this interim period, will be compensated at
the annual rate of$96,068.00 (15% temporary pay supplement) for the additional duties
she will be required to perform.
Section 4. In accordance with Section 4.04(a) of the Revised Charter, this legislation
: shall take effect upon adoption.

SUBJECT: Resolution Appointing a City Manager for an Interim Period

Attached for your consideration is Resolution No. 55-01 appointing Ms. Marsha Grigsby
as City Manager for an interim period and authorizing a temporary pay supplement for
Ms. Grigsby. Under this Resolution, Ms. Grigsby's appointment will be effective
December 14, 2001 and will end upon the effective date of appointment of a new City
Manager.
Ms. Grigsby's salary upon appointment as City Manager for an interim period will be
increased to $96,068.00 which represents a 15% temporary pay supplement.
