HomeMy WebLinkAbout18-02 Resolution RECORD OF RESOLUTIONS Day tan legal Blank Ca., Farm No. 30045 I Resolution No. .. 18-02 Passed u I ............ ..............., YEAR A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING COUNCIL'S INTENT TO EXEMPT CERTAIN PROPERTIES FROM AMENDMENTS MADE TO THE CURRENT ZONING CODE OR THE PROPOSED UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT CODE THAT ADVERSELY IMPACT CONTRACTS PREVIOUSLY ENTERED INTO WITH THE CITY WHEREAS, the City of Dublin ("City") is considering amending its current Zoning Code and/or implementing a new Unified Development Code ("UDC"); and WHEREAS, certain individuals, business entities, partnerships, other entities have expressed concern that these proposed amendments and/or new UDC will adversely impact developments that are the subject of economic incentive projects such businesses and/or persons have with the City; and WHEREAS, Council does not wish to impair these agreements previously entered into between certain businesses and/or individuals and the City; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Dublin, State of Ohio, 2- of the elected members concurring, that: Section 1. City Council hereby expresses its intent to exempt all properties that are the subject of economic development agreements with the City, including, but not limited to, inducement agreements and tax increment financing districts (TIFs), from the application of any newly adopted Zoning Code revisions and/or the implementation of a new UDC that would significantly hinder the ability of either the City or the other party to honor the agreement previously entered into; and Section 2. City Council will review each exemption request on a case-by-case basis to determine whether exemption should be permitted; and Section 3. This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest date provided by law. . ,2002.
