A Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Accept the Donation of an
Approximate 1.12 Acre Parcel of Land Located on the South Side of Post Road,
West of 1-270, From John W. McKitrick
WHEREAS, a goal ofthe Dublin City Council is to acquire undeveloped land for public
purposes; and
WHEREAS, John W. McKitrick has notified the City of Dublin of his desire to donate an
approximate 1.12 acre parcel ofland located on the south side of Post Road, west ofI-
270, as depicted on the attached Exhibit, to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to accept the donation from John W. McKitrick.
NOW, T~1!~_FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council ofthe City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute any necessary closing
documents related to the donation ofthe Post Road parcel from John W. McKitrick to the
City and to pay related closing costs.
Section 2 . This Resolution shall take effect and be in force at the earliest time
provided by law.

SUMMARY:
John W. McKitrick contacted the City and expressed his desire to donate a parcel ofland to the City. The
parcel of land, approximately 1.12 acres, is located on the south side of Post Road, just west of 1-270.
The parcel is highlighted on the attached map. The adjacent parcel to the west was donated by
Continental Real Estate Companies to the City in September 2003,
An Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) has been completed. No environmental conditions were
identified. The Executive Summary from the ESA is attached.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff is recommending adoption of Resolution No. 77-05.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Environmental Design Group, Inc. (EDG), a division of Floyd Browne Group, was contracted by
the City of Dublin to perform an Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) of a residential lot at
5359 Post Road in Dublin, Ohio (the subject property). This assessment was conducted in
accordance with the scope and limitations of the American Society of Testing and Materials
(ASTM) Standard Practice E 1527, and the purpose was to identify recognized environmental
conditions as defined by ASTM.
This report consists of findings and conclusions of the Phase I ESA conducted by Ms. Christina
Svoboda, Environmental Scientist with EDG. Ms. Svoboda conducted tt'ie site reconnaissance
on October 18, 2005.
Our historical background information indicated that the site was undeveloped land throughout
the years. Based on our research and site observations, no recognized environmental
conditions were identified on the subject property.
