A RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO APPROPRIATE A 0.224
ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION
EASEMENT, FROM JACK T. COMPTON AND ELIZABETH L.
COMPTON, LOCATED EAST OF DUBLIN ROAD, CITY OF
DUBLIN, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO.
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin is preparing to construct a roundabout at the intersection
of Dublin Road and Brand Road; and
WHEREAS, said improvement will require the City of Dublin to obtain a temporary
construction easement in and to the premises described in the attached Exhibit "A"
located in the City of Dublin, Franklin County, Ohio.
NOW, T~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council, ofthe City of Dublin, State
of Ohio, i of the elected members concurring that:
Section 1. Council considers it necessary and declares its intention to appropriate, for
the purpose of constructing a roundabout at the intersection of Dublin Road and Brand
Road, a temporary construction easement in and to the premises located in the City of
Dublin, Ohio, and more fully described in the legal description attached hereto as Exhibit
"A".
Section 2, The City Manager is hereby authorized to cause written notice ofthe passage
of this Resolution to be served upon the owners and persons in possession or having an
interest of record in the above-described property. This notice shall be served according
to law.
Section 3, This Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest
date permitted by law.

Resolutions Nos, 15-05 through 21-05
SUMMARY:
This project requires appropriation of right-of-way and/or temporary construction easements
from seven (7) property owners for the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Dublin
Road and Brand Road. A drawing of the proposed right-of-way and temporary construction
easements is attached for your review. Resolutions Nos, 15-05 through 21-05 have been
submitted to Council for approval of Dublin's intent to appropriate the necessary right-of-way
and temporary construction easements.
RECOMMENDA TION:
Legal Staff recommends approval of Resolutions Nos, 15-05 through 21-05,

Situated in the State of Ohio, County of Franklin, City of Dublin, being part of Virginia
Military Survey Number 2543, and being within a 1,5 acre parcel conveyed to Jack T,
and Elizabeth L. Compton of record in Instrument Number 199808210212729 (all
references to the records of the Recorder's Office, Franklin County, Ohio unless
otherwise specified) and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning in the northerly line of said Compton property and in the existing easterly right
of way of Dublin-Bellepoint Road;
Thence along the northerly line of said Compton property, North 88046'01" East a
distance of 5 ,15 feet to a point;
Thence crossing through said Compton property, South 14057' 12" East a distance of
74.11 feet to a point;
Thence crossing through said Compton property, North 75002'48" East a distance of 5.00
feet to a point;
Thence crossing through said Compton property, South 14057' 12" East a distance of
15,00 feet to a point;
Thence crossing through said Compton property, North 75002'48" East a distance of
63.00 feet to a point;
Thence crossing through said Compton property, South 12038'38" West a distance of
49,65 feet to a point;
Thence crossing through said Compton property, South 24024'56" East a distance of
24.33 feet to a point;
Thence crossing through said Compton property, South 39043'43" East a distance of
42.95 feet to a point;
Thence crossing through said Compton property, South 10027' 16" West a distance of
44.28 feet to a point;
Thence crossing through said Compton property, South 58032'02" West a distance of
36.93 feet to the southerly line of said Compton property and the northerly ofa 1.651
acre tract conveyed to Mary O. Segner of record in Instrument Number
200205140121476;
Thence along the southerly line of said Compton property and the northerly of said
Segner property, South 88041' 17" West a distance of 18.10 feet to an iron pin found in
the existing easterly right of way of Dublin-Bellepoint Road;
Thence along the existing easterly right of way of Dublin-Bellepoint Road, North
14057'12" West a distance of243.56 feet to the Point of Beginning and containing 0.224
acres, more or less.
Of the above described area 0,224 acres is contained within Franklin County Auditor's
Parcel 273-001789,
The bearings are based on the Ohio State Plane Coordinate System, South Zone, North
American Datum of 1983 from GPS field measurements made from Franklin County

The above description was prepared in February 2005 by Robert A, Bosworth,
Professional Surveyor 7750 and is based on a field survey made in September 2003 by
DLZ Ohio, Inc" Columbus, Ohio under the direction of said surveyor.
A drawing of the above description known as Exhibit "B" is attached hereto and made
part thereof.
Grantor claims title by Instrument of record in Instrument Number 199808210212729 of
the Recorder's Office, Franklin County, Ohio.
